A cue point is a marker at a precise time point in the duration of a video. You can use cue points to trigger mid-roll ads (that is, ads that occur during playback of the video content, like a commercial break).
Once you add a mid-roll to your player or any video you will be provided with a field to enter values (comma separated) in seconds or percentage so you can pinpoint the exact time when you wish for a mid-roll to appear in the player.
You have 3 options when setting cue points:
- Set cue points in seconds - Add comma-separated integers at which points you want mid-rolls to appear.
- Set cue points in interval mode in seconds - Add a single integer in seconds when you want your mid-rolls to repeat. For example, if you want a mid-roll to appear every 30 seconds of a video, insert a value of 30 here.
- Set cue points in percentages - Add comma-separated integers at which points you want mid-rolls to appear. For example, if you want a mid-roll to appear on the 10th and 30th percentile of a video, add 10,30 inside the input field.
NOTE: If you use the mid-roll interval setting with Brid live streams, due to the nature of live streams and latency, mid-roll display will probably have delays and if you set for example a mid-roll on every 5th minute, be aware that there is no way for the player to correctly position the mid-roll at the exact 5th minute of the live stream due to the limitations of live streams.
